Forgiveness

A person who is weak cannot forgive but a person who is strong can forgive.

But how can we forgive someone if that person hasn't confessed what they have done or told the truth?

    Is forgiveness not really about healing, and therefore as much a process for the person doing the forgiving as it is for the person being forgiven? In that case does it really matter if the person has confessed or not?
